Lizzo showed off her musical talent as she performed the Lord of the Rings theme song while channeling an elf on Thursday.
The 35-year-old Juice hitmaker — who visited New Zealand during the final leg of her Special Tour — brought her flute playing skills to Hobbiton, the famous town in the Shire used for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
‘Lizzolas in her natural habitat…’ she captioned a video of herself playing Howard Shore’s In Dreams from The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings soundtrack.
The singer also shared another post with a number of pH๏τos of her during the visit, wearing an all-green outfit along with a platinum blonde wig and elf ears in a look reminiscent of Orlando Bloom’s Legolas character from the film.
Lizzo’s 13.5M followers were thrilled with the creative posts, with Orlando’s partner Katy Perry tagging him and writing that Lizzo was ‘comin fer yer jerb.’
Lizzo finalized her look with a pounamu necklace that was gifted to her during her Auckland show.
In another clip shared in her second post the entertainer can be seen walking down a dirt road on the film set, and then pausing to look at the Hobbit homes.
‘House hunting,’ she captioned the post.
Another snap saw Lizzo posing in the vibrant outfit outside one of the homes.
She also took a pH๏τo with her partner Myke Wright, who joined her on the trip.
And while Lizzo got immersed into her character, Wright sported a more understated black hoodie and khakis.
The Lord of the Rings films were directed by Peter Jackson and starred Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Viggo Mortensen, Billy Boyd, Sean Bean, and Liv Tyler among many others.
The trilogy has won 17 Oscars. The Fellowship of the Ring also won a Grammy for best score soundtrack album in 2001.
Singer Sam Smith wrote in the comments, ‘I AM SCREAMING.’
‘One Lizzo to rule them all,’ another added in reference to a line from the film, while someone else said, ‘This might be the most iconic thing I’ve ever seen.’
