Lizzo put on a sizzling display as she kicked off her highly-anticipated The Special Tour at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida on Friday night.
The singer, 34, hit the stage in a sparkling blue ɴuᴅᴇ illusion jumpsuit that clung to her curvaceous figure.
The Special Tour, which will run through November, is in support of Lizzo’s fourth studio album, Special.
The album was released in July and features the viral TikTok hit, About Damn Time.
Lizzo could hardly contain her joy while performing for over 20,000 of her biggest fans.
The Michigan native’s sizzling jumpsuit had faux arm warmers that sparkled under the lights as she showed of her killer dance moves.
Lizzo made her way around the stage in a pair of blue platform combat boots.
Her eyelids were dusted with vibrant blue eyeshadow and topped with fluffy faux lashes for some added drama.
The Truth Hurts singer’s plump pout was painted a cool ɴuᴅᴇ shade and her already stunning face was sculpted with a warm-toned bronzing powder.
She was joined by a troupe of background dancers, who were glad in iridescent pink getups complete with high-waisted H๏τ pants and vinyl garter belts.
Just two weeks prior to kicking off her tour, Lizzo reached a major career milestone as she took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Compeтιтion Series for her show called, Watch Out For The Big Grrrls.
The performer was both the host and executive producer on the Amazon Prime series. Days before the ceremony, the show won two Creative Emmy awards for Outstanding Directing along with Outstanding Picture Editing.
The Rumors hitmaker was beyond honored to receive an Emmy and gave a speech to recognize all who were involved in her series.
‘I mean my big girls come to the stage right now. I want to say thank you to the Emmys and the Emmy voters,’ she began.
‘First I’m very emotional, and the trophy is nice but my emotion is for these people who are on the stage with me, the stories that they shared they’re not that unique. They just don’t get the platform telling stories.’
The eight-episode show followed a group of plus-size, talented dancers who were competing to land a role as a backup dancer for Lizzo’s future concerts and world tour.
As she continued her heartfelt acceptance speech, Lizzo added, ‘Let’s just tell more stories. When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media. Someone fat like me, black like me, beautiful like me.’
‘If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I would be like, you’re going to see that person but b***h, it’s going to have to be you.’
