Jennifer Lopez has addressed having ‘resilience and grit’ after her split from husband of two years, Ben Affleck.
On Instagram she reflected on her role as Judy Robles, the mother of one-legged NCAA wrestler Anthony Robles.
‘When I first learned about the true story behind Unstoppable, I was moved beyond words,’ the star – who is already getting Oscar buzz for her performance – said on Instagram about her new Entertainment Weekly cover story.
‘It’s a testament to resilience, grit, and the human spirit. This film is a celebration of the fighters and the dreamers who refuse to give up, no matter the odds.’
The 55-year-old crooner ended with: ‘Thank you EW. It was such an honor playing Judy Robles in this incredible story about her son Anthony Robles. Both Anthony and Judy are real examples and define what it means to be UNSTOPPABLE.’
For the EW cover she posed with Unstoppable costar Jharrel Jerome who plays Anthony.

Lopez posed in a strapless ivory dress with a coat for inside the issue. On the cover she modeled a black leather outfit as she posed with her costar.
In the issue she also talked about support.
‘It says a lot about the character of someone, when people are good and loving and supportive of each other, what they can accomplish,’ Lopez said.
‘I’ve been a single mom at times in my life, and [I’ve asked,] ‘Am I enough for them?’ And the truth is, all you need is really one good parent to love you.’
She has teenaged twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The siren from the Bronx also said: ‘You hear it in Anthony’s voice and look what he’s been able to accomplish. That’s what the movie gave me: You are enough.’
Unstoppable was made with Jennifer’s ex Ben Affleck and his Artists Equity partner Matt Damon.
Oscar-winning editor William Goldenberg (Argo) made his directorial debut.
The movie opens December 6 in limited release and starts streaming January 16 on Prime Video.
